Two-Day Husky Adventure in Ylläs

Spend two unforgettable days in husky adventure way above the Arctic Circle. You will mush through virgin forests and wide open marsh with an eager team of Alaskan Huskies and overnight in a wilderness cabin.

When you arrive to the ranch we have a briefing what the coming days will bring. Then it’s time to meet your own teams and pack the sleds. You have 4-5 dogs in front of your own sled. When everything is ready, we head out to the wilderness. For the next two days it’s just you, snow and the dogs!

First day we mush about 40km, we travel through the taiga forest and across frozen marsh and creeks. After twenty kilometers we take a little break and its snack time both for the dogs and us! We mush a few hours more before arriving to the overnight base. First we feed the dogs and then we heat up the cabin and prepare the dinner. Dinner is delicious reindeer stew.

The next day starts with breakfast but of course, the dogs eat first, then it’s our turn. We have a long day of mushing ahead of us 40-50 km in total. At the halfway we stop for lunch by open fire. Back at the Husky Ranch it's time to say bye-bye to our furry team mates. Inside the Ranch house we grab cup of hot chocolate and relax!

We provide personal, small groups and local resident of Lapland guide!

870€ / person. Everyone has own huskyteam. 

Duration

Overnight safari. Start at 10.00 am on the first day, finish around noon on the second day.

Minimum group size

Minimum group size of this safari is 2 persons and maximum 4 persons.

Additional Information

Single driving only. On this safari you have to be in a reasonable fit. Age limit 15 years.
